The name Tapas comes from the Spanish verb “tapar”, which means to cover. In the old days, drinks were covered to protect them from flies, hence the idea of having a snack to go with the drink

Let’s travel back in time and imagine this 100-year-old mansion once was a vacation home, a physician’s practice, a refinery clubhouse, but most of all a loving family home
In 2014 the mansion was transformed into the Restaurant Quinta del Carmen.
Since 2020, one of the gardens surrounding the mansion is now Carmen’s Tapas, where you can enjoy shared dining!
